Episode 1

Mystery begins when a renovation of ‘Goddess Ninth Temple’ takes place at a quiet town in Province Tin Pen. The completion date of renovation is close; hence, Governor LI YUEN is invited to be the honor of guest for the opening ceremony of the temple. Just when the ceremony starts, strange thing happens. An unexpected storm arrives suddenly; and the statue of ‘Goddess Ninth’ disappears mysteriously. The temple administrator SUEN KONG critics the faithfulness of the villagers and states that ‘Goddess Ninth’ abandons Tin Pen is owing to their mistrust. Meanwhile, the villagers scare to bear the consequence and put the blame on YUEN instead. YUEN is smart; and he soon discovers the truth behind screen. He fools KONG to confess the story and forces him to draw the picture of ‘Goddess Ninth’ and places it at the temple again.… ...

Episode 3

In order to remove the damage of mirror, KAM visits the lake and cleans up the stain on the mirror daily. One day, he meets the father of WAN, KAU SAM YUN, on his way. Due to some misunderstanding, KAM offends YUN by blocking his way. As the Governor of Tin Pen, YUEN has the responsibility to maintain the order of the town. Hence, YUN assigns YUEN to question KAM. Meanwhile, YUEN helps KAM to defend trickily; thus, KAM is acquittal at last. On the other hand, YUN appreciates the talent of YUEN and feels pity that he just takes up such a small role in the province. It is a happy moment for WAN to reunion with YUN. WAN cannot wait to share her little secret with her father privately. Apart, KAM conflicts with YUN again; when YUN orders to execute a horse. This time, WAN helps KAM to release the horse in order to thank his help on recovering the mirror previously. Besides WAN, YUN has five sons who work in the Imperial also.… ...

Episode 4

The wealthy often uses money as the means to resolve problems. YUN believes that a handsome amount of money can compensate the damage to their neighbor kingdom; however, YUEN holds a different point of view. On the other hand, SHUI cannot take a break off in protecting his gold coins. He frightens that the gold will be stolen while he falls asleep. Yet, YUEN feels pity on his ignorance then. Meanwhile, WAN is obsessed to the Yun Tin bible which tells her heart. KAM realizes the destruction that the gold coins bring SHUI and worries about him. Therefore, KAM seeks for the advice from YUEN. YUEN takes the opportunity to visit SHUI with YUN; while points out the failure of materialistic rewards. On contrary, the fortune that SHUI discovered has made him suffers. LANG accuses FA has eaten the abalone; however, she is lacking of evidence.… ...

Episode 5

After the stolen of abalone incident, LANG criticizes FA has eaten up all the mushrooms again. On contrary, FA accuses LANG has stolen the mushrooms instead. LANG is furious and shares her grieves with KAM. KAM does not want the reputation of his mother damages by FA and seeks for the help of YUEN. YUEN gives the Yun Tin bible to KAM and encourages KAM to recover the reputation of LANG by himself. One day, when YUEN, WAN and FA have lunch at a restaurant; FA eats a lot of mushroom when she realizes that it is very expensive. Hence, KAM spells on FA according to the instruction of bible. Suddenly, FA has a storm ache; yet, misleads KAM that his spell works. He then forces FA to admit her dishonesty. YU YUK TON is a close friend of YUEN and has become the champion of the Hanlin Academy recently. TON visits YUEN according to the appointment that made three years ago.… ...

Episode 6

TON feels guilty for the death of SUET. It is pity that he cannot share the long cherish dream with his beloved wife; but ends up in mourning indeed. Suddenly, Duke, YEUNG CHUNG shows up and takes TON away. Actually, TON is selected to be the fiance of Princess WING MING and has to return to the Imperial Place at once. This hardly seems the time to reject; however, WAN helps TON to voice out for mercy. She pleads CHUNG to delay the schedule until the body of SUET is buried. CHUNG is attracted by the beauty of WAN and yet, promises to grant TON mercy at last. Meanwhile, YUEN and WAN learn about the marriage arrangement between TON and Princess WING MING then. TON disappears when the funeral of SUET is completed. YUEN is so worried that he sets off to Yick Chau and finds CHUNG for discussion immediately. There, he meets TON; who changes his attitude totally. He agrees to marry Princess WING MING; which surprises YUEN and others.… ...

Episode 7

With poet wrote by TON, YUEN realizes that TON tends to commit suicide. YUEN is upset and anxious. But when he reads the poet again, the words change to another meaning mysteriously. KAM believes that it is done by the spirit of SUET. Therefore, YUEN offers scarify at the tomb of SUET at night; however, he is frightened by the haunt of ghost and returns home quickly. That night, YUEN has a strange nightmare and gets the inspiration from SUET. However, TON does not believe his story. The next day, The Empress rebukes TON for lacking care of Princess WING MING; thus, makes her suffer and ill. While Princess WING MING is hesitate to believe the promise of TON also. She insists TON to prove his love with facts and looks at her with sincerity. On the other hand, YUEN studies Yun Tin bible in order to finds solution to help SUET. And the bible tells him that a precious named ‘Pearl of Moon’ can help SUET to revive.… ...

Episode 8

WAN wakes up at last. Moreover, she admits that she assigns KAM to steal the ‘Pearl of Moon’. Though CHUNG feels hard to believe, he agrees to give up the investigation. Meanwhile, WAN is aware to the leniency that CHUNG provides her. Quite unexpectedly, Princess MING and WAN become good friends and shares the same viewpoint towards love. Besides, YUEN thinks that it is too risky for WAN to stay in the Palace and tends to take her away as soon as possible. However, WAN still wants to steal the ‘Pearl of Moon’ from Princess MING and helps SUET to revive. WAN insists to take the risk and finds a chance. The time has come. Although WAN steals the pearl with cautious; she does not smart enough to escape the sight of MING. Finally, SUET is revived and meets TON again. She continues to knit the robe for TON and accomplishes her dream.… ...

Episode 9

Only because of this event, The Empress realizes the meaning of love. She forgives TON and SUET and decides to call off the wedding engagement between TON and Princess MING. Therefore, TON realizes his dream at last and promises YUEN that he will be a good Governor. Meanwhile, CHUNG envies YUEN that he has the love of WAN and a loyal servant, KAM and blesses YUEN to cherish them. WAN learns the value of love too. But she wonders if YUEN will scarify his life for her in danger. Her query is solved after studying the Yun Tin bible then. But YUEN still doubts about the efficacy of the bible. One day, WAN buys a sewing machine and tends to make clothes for YUEN excitedly. Therefore, KAM helps her to find cottons and dye ingredients. Not knowing the bucket has not been washed thoroughly, LANG uses it for cooking.… ...

Episode 10

It is hard to keep a secret from a close companion. YUEN returns home a scent of fragrance which alerts the suspicious of WAN immediately. Thus, YUEN makes up story about the things happened overnight; but dares to mention about SIN. However, WAN discovers lipstick on the handkerchief of YUEN when she dyes. YUEN makes another excuse by cheating that the dirt of lipstick is caught when he selects cosmetic for WAN. SIN notices the intimate relationship between YUEN and WAN. But she does not give up and makes a proactive move instead. She carries the handkerchief of YUEN and finds him in the restaurant. Meanwhile, some customers flirts her due to her beauty. Though YUEN wants to help SIN, he is afraid that their relationship will be disclosed. Hence, he keeps silence and offers no assistance at last. YUEN feels guilty for pretending a stranger in the restaurant. To recompense, he finds SIN to apologize.… ...

Episode 11

The unusual affair with SIN disturbs YUEN a lot. He returns home with an absent mind. Though SIN believes that YUEN cannot escape the temptation of her beauty, she begins to feel inpatient. SIN breaks his promise and does not show up for a few days. Therefore, SIN puts the blame on the insect that MOON takes home which brings her bad luck. Hence, SIN kills the insect without any sympathy. On the other hand, YUEN feels stressful and guilty for betraying WAN. Therefore, he practices his writing skills overnight until his body is over exhausted and falls asleep at last. Besides, MOON cries mournfully for the death of insect and insists to bury it properly. Hence, FAN takes MOON out while SIN is drunk. SIN discovers the disappearing of MOON and FAN very quickly. She fetches around and finds them at last. SIN rebukes FAN for taking MOON out; while MOON takes the chance and escapes.… ...

Episode 12

SIN uses black magic to fool YUEN for the running of time. Moreover, she also blinds the senses of YUEN; thus, he fails to recognize the calling of WAN and KAM. WAN is heartbroken and runs away. KAM is angry with YUEN for lacking response and throws his shoe against him. Ironically, the shoe breaks the magic of SIN accidentally; thus, YUEN realizes the nature of SIN at last. It isn’t the consequence that SIN expected. Therefore, she finds YUEN at his house again; this time, she carries a pant that YUEN left behind. WAN knows nothing about the inside story; but feels insult and heartbreak only. However, YUEN treats SIN harshly and calls her ‘old witch’ instead. SIN leaves furiously then. On the other hand, WAN is struggling whether to find out the truth between YUEN and SIN. At last, she makes up her mind to find SIN for negotiation. Meanwhile, YUEN studies the Yun Tin bible in order to tackle the black magic of SIN.… ...

Episode 13

MOON succeeds in releasing all of them from the basement. But they are stunned when they see SIN. The spell of SIN is lost due to the broken of tripod; yet, SIN returns to her old age again. SIN is regret for the things she did on MOON; which gives her a bad impression towards men. MOON is grown up with a childhood without love. She is aware to the men obsess by beauty of SIN only and never seen true love. Though MOON tends to marry a wine seller when she grew up, her fiance failed to resist the temptation of SIN’ beauty at last. MOON commits suicide with her broken heart. Luckily, she is rescued; but she becomes crazy afterwards. MOON forgives SIN at last and SIN pasts away peacefully. After the battle with Turks, YUN visits WAN at Province Tin Pen. YUEN is excited for the sudden visit of YUN and misunderstands that YUN has won the battle. He organizes a feast to entertain YUN and celebrates the success of YUN.… ...

Episode 14

YUN loses the hope of survival; he believes that he will die soon despite the doctor proves him healthy. YUN speaks out the mistakes he had made in the battle with Turks and the reason for his failure. YUN decides to dedicate his notes and paintings to his subordinates, HON FU and NGAI BILL; which contains his precious experiences. He asks FU and BILL return to the army then. Apart, KAM picks up the dispose and finds a pair of boot that belonged to YUN. He gives it to SHUI as present without knowing that it will bring him accident. SHUI becomes a cripple because of the boot. KAM carries SHUI to find YUEN and seek for justice. Although YUN agrees to punish FU and BILL with military discipline, SHUI objects and withdraws his appeal surprisingly. With the consent of YUEN, KAM keeps SHUI at home until he recovers. However, FA shows a lot of annoyance; thus, makes SHUI feels very embarrass.… ...

Episode 15

One day, YUN is attracted by the decoration of a rice shop; where it is preparing for a wedding ceremony. He envies the harmony and happiness that the rice owner enjoys with his sons and grand children. Hence, he tends to speed up the marriage between YUEN and WAN as soon as possible. At the same time, the five sons of YUN visit Province Tin Pen coincidentally. YUN insists them to stay behind and participate the wedding ceremony of YUEN and WAN. In order to prepare the wedding ceremony in such a short period of time, YUN does not concern about the details at all. But an unexpectedly news from the imperial calls a halt to his arrangement immediately. YUN is ordered to negotiate the terms for a peace agreement with Turks and has to return to the military.… ...

Episode 16

Expect the unexpected because something surprise KAM. The Buddha statue is broken by the storm and unexpectedly, KAM recovers the lost heart pin in it. WAN continues to plan for her wedding and tries the wedding gown. She particularly interests about the communication ways between couples and notices that all of them think the same way despite they have different characters. Meanwhile, YUEN also wants to get more inspiration from the Yun Tin bible and loses interest towards the things surround him. The soul of YUEN comes out from his body again. He comes to the home of a hunter FUNG and his wife WAI and finds their love can undergo live and death. Nevertheless, YUEN has an unexpectedly discovery on his own; he has the power of black magic now. Just when the soul of YUEN wanders around; KAM, WAN and the doctor fail to wake YUEN up.… ...

Episode 17

The soul of YUEN dreads far away from home now. YUEN meets a blind lady YI LAN; who performs the Chinese guitar for earning her own living. AH YAT is a driver, who picks up LAN to work daily. One day, YAT realizes that Doctor WING is a well-known doctor in town and might cure the blindness of LAN. He then sells off his wooden cart and all his belongings to help LAN finding Doctor WING for medicine. Doctor WING falls in love with LAN in the first sight and agrees to cure her blindness without charge. The medicine to cure LAN is costly. Doctor WING also spends all his wealth for curing LAN. Three months later, LAN recovers. Doctor WING seizes the chance and proposes marrying LAN at once. The next day, LAN agrees to marry WING and boards on his marriage sedan chair. Meanwhile, YUEN plays his black magic and makes the flowers blossom along the road.… ...

Episode 18

YUEN dares to see WAN suffers; hence, he finds CHUNG to replace him. CHUNG is appointed as the Duke of Province Yin and tends to marry WAN as his wife. According to royal tradition, CHUNG arranges a horse to carry WAN, as the present for a betrothal. Though WAN is unwilling to accept, she cannot ignore the imperial order. Maybe the unsettling heart causes WAN to slip sight and nearly falls off the horseback. Luckily, KAM holds tight to the bridle and prevents the accident. CHUNG realizes that WAN is still attached to YUEN. Though he feels bitter, he agrees to wait for WAN until she changes her mind. KAM is injured when he rescues WAN. Hence, WAN takes good care of him as compensation. Meanwhile, YUEN watches aside and surprises to discover that KAM and WAN are meant to be together instead. On the other hand, YUN intends to burn the body of YUEN, so that WAN can forgo the past. However, he feels pity and withdraws the motion.… ...

Episode 19

KAM hears the reputation of Doctor WING from LAN; hence, he sets off to find WING immediately. However, WING pretends dead and takes KAM to his tomb; where he builds in advance. KAM is poisoned by a snake when he worships WING at the tomb. Hence, WING tells him his identity and cures his wound at once. WING diagnosis the blindness of WAN and tells CHUNG that he needs 9 herbal medicines to make the prescription. CHUNG says that the imperial palace contains all the herbals except one, the gall of flamingo. But CHUNG is capable to find the gall of flamingo and presents it to WING at the end. Yet, WAN resumes her sight. CHUNG presents a pair of golden jade lock to WAN as wedding gift. KAM feel bitter at heart and finds SHUI to share his sorrow. Although SHUI encourages KAM to propose his love to WAN, KAM feels ashamed instead. On the other hand, WAN seeks for the assistance from her brothers in order to turn down the marriage with CHUNG.… ...

Episode 20

KAM helps WAN to pack her luggage and shares the memories together. However, both of them are lack of the courage to propose their love at heart. Meanwhile, YUN receives an order from the imperial that he has to lead the troops to secure the safety of Province Ping Sai. Therefore, he decides to organize a competition and recruit talent to be the commander. CHUNG registers at once then. KAM realizes that YUN promises CHUNG to marry WAN before they depart to Province Ping Sai. As his beloved WAN is going to marry soon, KAM finds SHUI to pacify his unhappiness. SHUI encourages KAM to enroll for the competition and wins the heart of WAN eventually. SHUI dies; hence, YUEN takes the chance and uses his body to revive. Furthermore, he hopes to use the identity of SHUI to inspire and support KAM. Meanwhile, he also finds ways to tell WAN about the love of KAM. YUEN also encourages KAM to strike his best to find his future happiness.… ...
