Episode 1

LAM TSOI-YEH's sole purpose in life is to protest; whereas rich kid YAU TIN's sole purpose in life is to keep idling. YAU TIN suddenly receives an emergency call from his mother and returns to Hong Kong, and it turns out that his father, YAU CHEUNG, is dying. On the other hand, TSOI-YEH is also called back to Hong Kong by his mother because his father, LAM CHI-WING, has become seriously ill. YAU CHEUNG sends his secretary SNOOPY and bodyguard MO DIK to assist YAU TIN. So the two lead YAU TIN to their Useful Store flagship shop with an over 30 years history in the industry located in a shopping mall. Thinking it's too small, YAU TIN plans to drive away its adjacencies so as to expand the store. With the Useful Store announcing a public recruitment event, DUMPLING intends to apply for a job together with his godson MA LEI-AH.… ...

Episode 2

Seizing the opportunity to attract media coverage, district councillor CHAI TSAU-SHUI brings along her daughter CHAI CHING-MAN and CHING-MAN's boyfriend KWOK PO to approach the protesters, claiming that she can help them solve their problems. Seeing that CHI-WING sprains his ankle, TSOI-YEH tells him to go to the hospital to have a checkup. However, CHI-WING refuses to do so, therefore, TSOI-YEH suggests that CHI-WING should go to a health care centre. With TSOI-YEH asking LAI-MAN about how to treat Alzheimer's disease, PEI-TAK treats CHI-WING with acupuncture while LAI-MAN gives him a stepping-on-back massage, making CHI-WING feel unspeakably miserable. Getting help from two extras, LAM SUET successfully recovers the money she pre-paid to the cosmetic surgery company.… ...

Episode 3

Seeing that LAM SUET uses a one-thousand-dollar note to buy paper napkins, MA LEI-AH decides to start courting her. LAM SUET goes to a TV station to apply to compete in the Miss Kowloon Pageant, Newbie Singing Contest and Cooking Contest, believing that she is going to be admitted to one of the contests and thereby join the showbiz. MO DIK suggests holding a theme day, so YAU TIN comes up with an idea which is to hold a Siberian Food Festival, above which he even forces his employees to wear their local fur clothing, making LAI-MAN sweat a lot. Wearing a polar bear costume outside of the store, TSOI-YEH gets himself kicked and beaten by naughty kids. After moving his costume head, he sees CHING-MAN walking towards him, and immediately recognizes that CHING-MAN was his high school classmate.… ...

Episode 4

With the staff of the Useful Store starting a work-to-rule, not much business is done. YAU TIN goes in person to scold his employees, however, he ends up starting showing off himself being a rich kid. MO DIK notices that someone tries to record this in secret and immediately thwarts it; whereas SNOOPY advises YAU TIN that it would be very troublesome once his speech is made public. Unexpectedly, YAU TIN cannot wait to upload that video clips to the internet after knowing that he has revealed the thoughts of all rich kids. On top of that, he even has some produced as TV specials. There is a public outcry over his comment in the wake of the show, and the people boycott the Useful Stores. YAU CHEUNG reprimands YAU TIN for having crossed the line, demanding him to fix this as soon as possible. Borrowing an idea from a TV program, YAU TIN seeks aid from the program host, LEE SZE-CHIT, and manages to ease the crisis.… ...

Episode 5

Pastor MA LAI-KO goes to have a word with SNAKE MING as soon as he receives the notice. SNAKE MING goes to the Useful Store to collect the protection fee, but YAU TIN has no idea what's going on with him, so SNAKE MING dashes to the cashier and directly grabs the money from there. In the nick of time, MA LAI-KO arrives and successfully retrieves the money, and DUMPLING helps him subdue SNAKE MING, who immediately shows remorse for his action on the heels of hearing a song. Moreover, SNAKE MING points out that YAU TIN bears a strong resemblance to MA LAI-KO, misconstruing YAU TIN to be MA LAI-KO's son. Apart from having a dream about her daughter's recovery from an allergy after getting married and giving birth, TSAU-SHUI also learns from a TV program that women will recuperate physically after giving birth and many former syndromes will also disappear. Episode 6

PEI-TAK and the others treat CHING-MAN and eventually cure her allergy syndrome. At midnight, TSAU-SHUI and KWOK PO go to the health care centre, and take away CHING-MAN by force. When helping renovate the church, DUMPLING warns LAI-KO to be careful. CHING-MAN invites LAI-KO to patronise the store, but LAI-KO mistakes her for a prostitute. For the sake of her daughter, TSAU-SHUI decides to set up her council office above the health care centre. LAM SUET borrows $200,000 from her family members so as to pay off her gambling debt. On the other hand, YAU TIN also loses more than $1 million at the casino, so he goes to seek help from his mother BARBARA because his father cut him off without a penny, during which he runs into LAM SUET. Although BARBARA has not agreed to pay off the debt for her son YAU TIN, she encourages YAU TIN to court LAM SUET as soon as she hears that her son has a crush on LAM SUET.… ...

Episode 7

After CHI-WING convinces MASTER TING to let LAM SUET make an impromptu performance, MASTER TING agrees to sign a three-year contract with LAM SUET and makes her one of their singers. Giving BARBARA a necklace as a gift, MA LEI-AH sighs that he is not a superstar, so BARBARA requests YAU TIN to establish an entertainment company and make MA LEI-AH rise to stardom, adding that she has found a sponsor. It turns out that her rich friend KAM KWONG's younger sister, KAM PING-MUI, also wants to be a superstar. Speaking at the press conference upon the establishment of Chan Sang Chai Entertainment Company, YAU TIN announces that they will cooperate with his father's TV company to hold a China Guy and Hong Kong Gal Contest (CGKG). CHING-MAN would like to help with some housework but ends up making a mess, so she bursts into tears and complains that TSAU-SHUI never lets her do any housework, making her feel very useless. With TSOI-YEH receiving the warning letter sent out by the collection agency, LAM SUET admits that she in fact owes more than one debit. TSOI-YEH learns that CHING-MAN makes a decent living by working as the councillor's assistant. After hearing what CHING-MAN explains to him in detail, TSOI-YEH notices that the job description is pretty much similar to the volunteer works that he has been doing, so he would also like to be one of the candidates in the election.… ...

Episode 9

LAI-MAN goes to the studio to record a voiceover for PING-MUI; whereas the one who records the voiceover for the main actor turns out to be KWOK PO, who hits it off with LAI-MAN, and soon the two even appreciate each other very much. Arriving at the rooftop, LAM SUET hopes KO-YAM can teach E KIN how to sing. Out of the blue, KO-YAM chases after E KIN and hits him as soon as E KIN starts singing the song for the contest. Following REFUSE HING's suggestion, LAM SUET lures KO-YAM by using his weakness, wine, so KO-YAM has no other choice but to agree to help her. Coincidentally, LAI-KO and YAU TIN both go to attend the funeral for the late Lawyer CHAN. While there, YAU CHEUNG cannot help feeling something, indicating that the reason why YAU TIN becomes such a spendthrift is because he knows that no one would ever fight over the estate assets with him.… ...

Episode 10

YAU TIN instructs MO DIK to take TSOI-YEH to Africa and never let him return. Seeing that someone is searching everywhere for DUMPLING, CHING-MAN calls TSAU-SHUI and tells her about it; whereas TSAU-SHUI suspects that DUMPLING and LAI-KO might be involved in drug trafficking, so she decides to report it to the police. Having disguised herself as a pizza delivery guy, MO DIK arrives at LAM's home and carries away TSOI-YEH after knocking him unconscious, yet later on, she bumps into LAI-KO. When TSAU-SHUI is distributing the gifts to the neighbors, CHING-MAN grabs two large bags of gifts to give to TSOI-YEH as well as the health care centre. Although TSOI-YEH turns his nose up at her offer, CHING-MAN explains to him patiently. Due to the fact that TSOI-YEH has no money for the promotion campaign, CHING-MAN offers to help him set up a webcast and name it "www.zitaulomong.com (Jump into a Web)".… ...

Episode 11

YAU TIN accuses LAM SUET of deceiving him; whereas LAM SUET resents that her attempt was made without result, adding that she is going to knock him out in the singing contest. To her surprise, YAU TIN reveals that they have already changed the system, and as a result, LAM SUET can no longer participate in the contest by using the song titled, "Old Friends". While practising the vocal skills, LAM SUET discovers that MA LAI-AH not only published the MV of the "Flower of Love", but also falsely claimed that the song was written by himself. LAM SUET then drowns her sorrow in alcohol. In view of this, KO-YAM teaches her how to take revenge on him. Going to the No Background Music, YAU TIN seeks to hold MASTER TING accountable for everything, the two thus start quarreling with each other. YAU TIN offers $20 million to buy out the No Background Music, claiming to put LAM SUET on hiatus, so LAM SUET turns to seek help from MA LAI-KO.… ...

Episode 12

As per TSUN-WANG's request, LAM SUET leads him to the funeral home to look for KO-YAM, only to find out that KO-YAM took off after being yelling at. Later on, LAM SUET takes TSUN-WANG to eat something in the Temple Street, where TSUN-WANG tells her the love story of KO-YAM and his late wife YEE-SHAN. After LAM SUET reveals that KO-YAM has been drowning his problems in alcohol every day, TSUN-WANG believes that there might be a turning point in KO-YAM's life if they could help get things off his chest. Getting inspired, LAM SUET points out that there should be a duplicate tape recording of KO-YAM's late wife YEE-SHAN's last words. Recalling that YEE-SHAN gave him the tape during her hospitalization, TSUN-WANG remembers that he made a duplicate of the tape and then locked it in a briefcase, which was later kept in the office of the No Background Music.… ...

KO-YAM suggests joining forces with the No Background Music, becoming LAM SUET's agent. Sensing that CHING-MAN and KWOK PO seem to have trouble communicating, TSAU-SHUI cannot help questioning her daughter about their relationship. CHING-MAN not only turns a cold shoulder on KWOK PO, but also hurries to leave. In view of this, LAI-MAN leaps forwards to comfort KWOK PO. With LAM SUET's show time in a music program being shortened to one minute, MA LEI-AH, on the contrary, gets to perform as if he was having a mini concert, helping catapult him to stardom. In the wake of MA LEI-AH's performance, the webcast "www.zitaulomong.com (Jump into a Web)" uses programs such as Blooper Time and Analysis of the supernatural events to introduce LAM SUET's new MV teaser, successfully attracting the netizens' attention.… ...

Episode 14

MA LEI-AH deliberately messes up his clothes when drinking champagne with BARBARA. Upon YAU CHEUNG and his son's arrival at the hotel, they witness in person that MA LEI-AH goes shirtless in the room in just a towel, so YAU CHEUNG gives YAU TIN an earful and accuses him of helping his mother to have an affair. Going to the centre to pay a visit to her younger sister MELODY, BARBARA cannot help hugging MELODY so tightly and pouring out her inner thoughts, which is overheard by MA LAI-KO nextdoor. The director of the centre receives a notice, which is that YAU CHEUNG is going to relocate the centre to Guangxi, so he seeks help from BARBARA, in hopes of halting the plan. Getting down on her knees, BARBARA begs YAU CHEUNG, promising that she will forever disappear.… ...

Episode 15

MA LEI-AH reveals to BARBARA that he is willing to spend the rest of his life with her, but BARBARA immediately sees through him as she knows what he is actually up to. MA LEI-AH sees an interview clip about LAM SUET, knowing that she has already been shortlisted in the mainland singing contest. Impliedly, LAM SUET encourages MA LEI-AH to pull himself together and try to compete with her again. For hitting on AH-MUNG, MA LEI-AH is badly beaten by someone, who even commands MA LAI-KO to bring $200,000 and go to the bar to redeem his son. When MA LEI-AH is in danger, MA LAI-KO and DUMPLING manage to defeat BUSTED BOTTLE in the nick of time. Relaying that BUSTED BOTTLE requests them to hand over the person who is responsible, BROTHER BING asks MA LEI-AH whether he is going to surrender his father or godfather, unexpectedly, MA LEI-AH decides to go and meet them in person.… ...

Episode 16

Based on a real-life story, LAI-MAN produces a radio drama, and both she and KWOK PO devote to the show when recording. Bringing along the deep-fried intestines, KWOK PO goes to the webcast, where he sees TSOI-YEH waiting for someone. TSOI-YEH misconceives that KWOK-PO is bringing the late-night snack for CHING-MAN, which makes LAI-MAN very sad. Meeting up with BARBARA, YAU TIN appears to be very happy and tells her that he is the one and only successor of his father's estate because TSOI-YEH is not his half-brother; whereas BARBARA reminds him that YAU CHEUNG can always donate all of his money to a charitable organization, adding that YAU TIN should pay more attention to his father. SNOOPY and MO DIK advise YAU TIN to reform himself thoroughly, so YAU TIN goes to the church, bursting into tears to ask for help from MA LAI-KO.… ...

Episode 17

Having prepared a Dear Jane letter, LAI-MAN tells KWOK-PO to sign it. Later on, LAI-MAN also makes public the relationship between YAU CHEUNG, TSAU-SHUI and CHING-MAN during the radio drama airing time, causing much public debate amongst the netizens. The Fujian Fried Rice Association not only asks TSAU-SHUI for an explanation, but also wants to know whether the person mentioned earlier in the radio drama was YAU CHEUNG. Before TSAU-SHUI's press conference, CHING-MAN and TSOI-YEH receive LAI-MAN's message inviting them to meet her in the webcast. With a senior member of the Fujian Fried Rice Association announcing that TSAU-SHUI is going to resign as their chairwoman and councillor, TSAU-SHUI becomes so angry that she slaps CHING-MAN on the face, making it clear that she can never ever forgive her. Being surrounded by the people, TSAU-SHUI receives severe criticism.… ...

Episode 18

TSAU-SHUI and CHING-MAN move to YAU's home, where they receive a warm welcome from YAU TIN. Recalling their bygones, YAU CHEUNG and TSAU-SHUI come to realize that both of them were deceived by YAU CHEUNG's ex-wife. It's reported by the TV news that TSAU-SHUI is going to accompany YAU CHEUNG to participate in a public activity for the first time. At the gala evening, BARBARA announces that she is going to resign as a philanthropist, adding that TSAU-SHUI is the real Mrs YAU. As the district council by-election is around the corner, all the neighbors support TSOI-YEH to run for the by-election, and according to PEI-TAK, the seat that TSOI-YEH is after is the one held by TSAU-SHUI before she resigned. Hanging out with TSOI-YEH in the Lamma Island, CHING-MAN reveals her true feelings when TSOI-YEH falls asleep on the beach.… ...

Episode 19

YAU TIN is concerned that his father will leave all his money to CHING-MAN, so SNOOPY proposes that YAU TIN could seize the opportunity to attack CHING-MAN after pretending to get close to her. Offering to help CHING-MAN withdraw from running for the by-election, YAU TIN, out of the blue, announces that CHING-MAN is unable to run for the by-election because she is busy preparing for her wedding. Therefore, all of the four senior members of the association unanimously approve to let YAU TIN replace CHING-MAN to run for the by-election. In an attempt to commit suicide, LAI-MAN blames KWOK PO as he fails to live up to his promise to break up with CHING-MAN, so KWOK PO reassures her that he is going to lay it on the line. With YAU TIN and TSOI-YEH confronting each other head-on in the store, neither CHI-WING nor his wife is willing to support TSOI-YEH financially, worrying that he might lose all of his election campaign funds.… ...

Episode 20

KO-YAM advises that TSOI-YEH should form an electioneering team, whose members should be those from TSOI-YEH's co-workers of the store. Apart from distributing his campaign leaflets, TSOI-YEH also choruses with his electioneering team, receiving loud support from local community. KWOK PO dates LAI-MAN, but their intimacy catches the eye of LAI-MAN's father; whereas CHING-MAN asks KWOK PO to pretend to be her boyfriend so as to cover up her actual relationship with TSOI-YEH. In the debate before the election, YAU TIN and TSOI-YEH go head-to-head with each other, and each has his own supporters. Secretly, MO DIK throws some eggs at TSOI-YEH in an attempt to make TSOI-YEH misbehave in public. At last, TSOI-YEH wins the election. In order to celebrate together with TSOI-YEH, CHING-MAN pretends to be sick. Suddenly, TSOI-YEH gets down on his knees to propose marriage to CHING-MAN, who is deeply touched.… ...

Episode 21

MA LAI-KO tries to persuade MA LEI-AH to find a job, but MA LEI-AH instead asks his father for more money. When KWOK PO and MA LEI-AH are quarrelling with each other, DUMPLING suggests that they should keep an eye on each other to see who is going to make his first $10,000. MA LAI-KO invites YAU TIN to attend the overnight prayers at the church, in hopes of helping KWOK PO and MA LEI-AH find jobs. Not wanting to get stuck with him, YAU TIN immediately hires the two. Due to the church experiencing financial difficulties, MA LAI-KO goes to discuss this with DUMPLING, who proposes organizing a boxing challenge. BROTHER BING not only agrees with the idea, but also actively offers $1 million to sponsor the event. TSOI-YEH and CHING-MAN secretly get married, and they invite two total strangers to be their witnesses at the last minute.… ...

Episode 22

When MA LEI-AH goes to a restaurant to fetch the soup for his father, BARBARA encourages him to compete in the boxing challenge. Having watched LAM SUET's interview clip after she won the singing competition in the mainland, MA LEI-AH notices that LAM SUET was seizing the opportunity to encourage him. Successfully, MA LEI-AH defeats BUSTED BOTTLE and claims the championship. Without warning, HEI LAI-MEI, the lionized politician who has been striving to bring new blood to the Legislative Council, pays a visit to TSOI-YEH. It turns out that HEI LAI-MEI is actually TSOI-YEH's high school classmate, LI TA-HEI. Episode 23

Although CHI-WING and KWAI-LAN hope their daughter could move to a high-end condo, LAM SUET insists to stay in their current residence. MA LAI-KO wants to pay a tribute to his late wife, so BARBARA accompanies him there. LAM SUET's assistant kidnaps LAM SUET, demanding to meet LAM SUET's boyfriend. Revealing that her boyfriend is in the Useful Store, the two then go to the store, where they bump into MA LEI-AH. At that critical moment, both LAM SUET and MA LEI-AH show their heartfelt feelings towards each other. KWAI-LAN asks TSOI-YEH whether he is seeing someone, so TSOI-YEH frankly discloses that he has already got married. However, both his parents and sister think he was just kidding. MA LAI-KO teaches MA LEI-AH how to communicate with the homeless people, and their group photo is posted in the newspaper as a result. MA LEI-AH inspires the homeless people and ignites their passion for music, which catches the eye of LAM SUET. Feeling that MA LEI-AH has become more mature, LAM SUET heaves a sigh of relief. As BARBARA is about to go to Africa, MA LEI-AH notices that his father is still reluctant to see her leave. For the sake of TSOI-YEH, CHING-MAN decides to move out, leaving TSAU-SHUI no other choice but to agree to their marriage. TSOI-YEH goes to borrow money from his parents for his wedding ceremony, but his father CHI-WING and sister LAM SUET misconstrue that he is just joking around. On the wedding day, the CHAI family tries by all means to make things difficult for TSOI-YEH, fortunately, with the help of the others, he manages to deal with them all.… ...

YAU TIN takes advantage when they are teasing the newlyweds to deal with TSOI-YEH, who ends up spending the night in the hospital after hurting his back. In addition, the doctor even warns TSOI-YEH to avoid any strenuous physical activities for the time being. LAM SUET leads MA LEI-AH and four homeless people to record songs in KO-YAM's studio, where MA LEI-AH names the band as "In & Out". CHING-MAN plans to have a baby with TSOI-YEH, unfortunately, TSOI-YEH still suffers from back pain. In an attempt to surpass TSOI-YEH, YAU TIN is eager to find someone who is willing to bear his child. Purposely, YAU TIN tries to please KAM KWONG. However, KAM KWONG is not only longing for the taste of a first love, but also different stages of romantic relationship, so YAU TIN has to try his best to flatter and satisfy her.… ...

Rumor has it that PING-MUI becomes a drug addict, so YAU TIN comes up with an idea, which is to produce a movie about drug rehabilitation and make PING-MUI the leading actress. KAM KWONG gives credit to YAU TIN for equipping PING-MUI to become a professional artiste, thinking that YAU TIN is very talented. Although CHI-WING and KWAI-LAN are nominated for the Best Actor/Actress Award, both of them become very disappointed after coming to realize the reality that the result of the award is predetermined. In light of this, TSOI-YEH decides to organize a mass movement to support his parents, swearing to make them the Best Actor and Actress. After YAU TIN announces that all the extra actors/actresses will lose their nomination status and will no longer be considered nominees for the award because of the new system, all of the Elite Party's supporters protest against YAU TIN, calling for him to step down.… ...

YAU CHEUNG not only reprimands YAU TIN for abusing his power to meet his own ends, but also teaches TSOI-YEH and CHING-MAN a lesson. With TSOI-YEH facing the allegation of being an informant for the TV station, HEI LAI-MEI opines that he'd better answer to the allegation and separate from his wife, otherwise, he can no longer be a politician. Not wanting her marriage to be affected by her job, CHING-MAN suggests pretending to be separated in public. LAI-MAN's father arranges LAI-MAN to have a blind date with a wealthy heir, but LAI-MAN shows no interest in him at all. Threatening to disclose the evidence about the wrong-doing taught by SNOOPY and MO DIK, YAU TIN coerces them into helping him forge his father's will. As soon as he gets the fake will, YAU TIN asks the two whether there is any way to accelerate his father's death. Unexpectedly, at that moment, YAU CHEUNG shows up. YAU TIN ends up abiding under a bridge, and when he is sitting on the street, someone even mistakes him as a beggar and throws him some coins. During their promotional campaigns, TSOI-YEH and CHING-MAN fight like cat and dog for their respective parties, the Elite Party and the Association. Having heard that salt can prevent one from getting the flu, all the citizens rush to the stores to buy salt. However, according to a widespread internet rumor, the bacteria cannot be killed even if one cooks the food properly. And rumor also has it that it can be spread through skin-to-skin contact, causing a huge panic in the city. In his interview, PROFESSOR ROBORT reveals that the source of the disease that has caused many people's unconsciousness is from sharks, which is called fish flu. The health care center then provides free-of-charge massage services, helping their clients calm down to resist the disease. When KWOK PO is giving LAI-MAN's father a massage, REFUSE HING advises him to seize the chance to approach him for his permission to marry his daughter.
