Misawa realises that the lyrics of a hit song sung by Kyoko Takagi match the circumstances of the murder.

The village is in turmoil due to a national highway project and the construction of a factory by a major American automobile manufacturer.

Yuki and Ryu were having a private party at a mountain hut in late autumn. However, when Yuki playfully threw a feather ornament, it accidentally pierced Ryu's chest, causing his death.
