Episode 1: No Crying After Candy

Top star Lin Can, embroiled in scandals involving tax evasion and role-snatching, ducks into an alley while fleeing the media. She accidentally bumps into Wen Nuannuan, a childhood friend hiding from her landlord in a mascot costume. Nuannuan doesn't recognize her, but Lin Can insists on revealing her own identity. To help Lin Can escape, Nuanmuan hides her in her own home and deals with the demanding landlord. Lin Can secretly manipulates the situation, getting Nuannuan 'accidentally' hired as her assistant, intertwining their destinies once more.

Episode 3: Wifey, I Was Wrong

Lin Can's assets are frozen by her company, forcing her to move into Nuannuan's small apartment. Shen Hao threatens Lin Can with her dark past. Meanwhile, Shen Hao transfers Si Han to manage Jiang Wan, who uses the opportunity to rekindle their entanglement. A flashback reveals they were once lovers, but broke up due to pressure from Jiang Wan's family. Shen Hao begins weaving a larger web of schemes.

Episode 4: Your Scent Hasn't Changed

Lin Can and Nuannuan arrive in the countryside, followed by Jiang Wan and Si Han. The rural life offers Lin Can a temporary respite, but Nuannuan's aunt arrives, pressuring her into an arranged marriage and demanding money. Lin Can fiercely defends Nuannuan, deepening their bond. Work on the program brings the four of them together unexpectedly, and Lin Can decides to confront Shen Hao head-on and accept the impending press conference challenge.

Episode 5: I Like You

On their last night in the village, Nuannuan uses wildflowers to confess romantically to Lin Can. Lin Can finally reveals her deeply buried trauma: as a teenager, she was assaulted by her stepfather. Her mother condoned it for money and even took photos, leading Lin Can to atrtempt suicide before being taken away by her aunt—and losing contact with Nuannuan. Heartbroken, Nuannuan comforts her, and they confirm they are each other's only salvation. Their kiss, however, is secretly photographed from the shadows.

Episode 6: I Don't Like Women at All

A stolen photo goes viral, sparking a scandal around Lin Can. Nuannuan faces threats while Lin Can wrongly suspects her of leaking the story, leading to a fallout. Lin Can’s mother, manipulated by Shen Hao, publicly accuses her of seduction. In a dramatic twist, Jiang Wan exposes Shen Hao’s embezzlement and framing, turning the situation upside down.

Episode 7: Wen Nuannuan Looks Back

Si Han reveals the plan to deceive Jiang Wan and defeat Shen Hao. After the misunderstanding is cleared, Lin Can confesses everything at a press conference, announces her retirement, and leaves with Nuannuan. But Shen Hao takes revenge: he runs over Jiang Wan and kidnaps Nuannuan, forcing Lin Can to come alone to a church.

Episode 8: Si Han, Smoking Is Bad for You

Shen Hao tries to force a “wedding,” but during the struggle Lin Can is seriously injured while protecting Nuannuan. The police arrive and arrest him. Months later, Lin Can and Nuannuan live peacefully in the countryside, while Jiang Wan wakes up with temporary amnesia and forgets Si Han, who chooses to reintroduce herself as a “new friend” and start over.
