Alien Files: Reopened S1:E4

Summer of the Saucers

In July 1952, the USAF created a sensation when it scrambled fighter jets over Washington DC to intercept UFOs. The authorities did their best to provide explanations, but the truth remains elusive. Our team of experts investigates

The Tall Whites

Our experts examine the bizarre case of Charles J. Hall, who claims whilst stationed in Nevada in 1965 to have made contact with a group of ETs he calls the Tall Whites, who he alleges came from a star system 100 light years away.

Billy Meier and the Multiverse

Billy Meier is a Swiss UFO cult leader who claims contact with beings from the Pleiades star system. He backs up his claims with alleged photos and videos of the ETs' craft. Our team examine this controversial case and ask: how could these craft reach Earth when the Pleiades are 500 light years from us? Meier and his supporters believe they have some answers to the inevitable questions.

Back from the Future

Bentwaters USAF Base in Suffolk, UK, in 1980 became one of the most prominent UFO cases on record. Various base personnel claimed to have witnessed a UFO landing, prominent amongst whom was Jim Penniston, who is interviewed in depth here. Our team investigates the events which have made this case an enduring unsolved mystery.

Belgian UFO Wave

In 1989 and 1990, Belgium became a global focus of UFO activity. Witnesses, including many police officers, numbered in the thousands, and several quiet Belgian towns and villages suddenly received unprecedented attention. The local military were unusually forthcoming in releasing radar footage of mysterious triangular objects over a wide area. Our team investigates the events, and asks the question - could secret US aircraft have been operating over Belgium?

School's Out for Saucer

On 16 September 1994, sixty two pupils at the Ariel School in rural Zimbabwe said that they saw a silver craft descent from the sky and land on a field near their school. The children claimed that the beings telepathically communicated with them.

Negative Energy

From at least 2004 onwards, US Navy pilots witnessed and filmed UFOs at close quarters whilst on exercises. A regime of silence was followed to avoid ridicule and damage to their careers. This changed dramatically in 2017 when video footage was leaked to the New York Times. Then the Pentagon sensationally confirmed that the footage was real. In 2023 hearings took place and witnesses came forward. The big questions remain - how do these objects achieve their unbelievable performance, and where do they come from?
