Le Daron S1:E2

Le Daron - Part 1

Vincent Daron, a brilliant and eccentric attorney at the Bordeaux Bar, heads a renowned family law firm that he founded with his brother, Jean-Michel. But when Jean-Michel passes away, Daron is stunned to discover that his brother has bequeathed all of his shares to Pauline Lefranc, a young lawyer who has just given him a run for his money in a trial and who has no connection to the family! This surprise is all the more shocking because his own children, the twins Esther and Grégory, were convinced they would inherit from their uncle and become partners in the firm. Forced to rally the entire team to save a pathological liar accused of murder, Daron will go from one discovery to the next regarding Pauline and will have to use all his cunning and smooth talk to extricate himself from the family chaos…

Free Jessie!

Pauline enlists Daron’s help on a new case: Jessie, a famous singer, has been placed under guardianship by her father and brother. They control every aspect of her life and prevent her from seeing her son, while forcing her to work like a slave, releasing albums, and going on tour after tour. Pauline and Daron manage to free Jessie from the guardianship and do everything they can to help her regain custody of her son. But the situation becomes more complicated when Pauline discovers that Jessie’s father has been murdered. As for Jessie, found in a dazed state at the crime scene, she blames herself for the murder... Meanwhile, Daron’s law firm is undergoing further upheaval: at Pauline’s initiative, the firm has moved. Esther is still determined to get rid of Pauline and has filed a lawsuit to have Jean-Michel’s will invalidated. For his part, Daron is worried about Esther marrying Dong So, whom he finds too uptight.

Land of Asylum

Nadia, the legal assistant at the Daron law firm, has been arrested! While she was volunteering at a refugee shelter, police officers came to take away one of her charges, Yahya, 19, who lives at the shelter with his younger sister, Marjan. Nadia, trying to prevent the arrest, hit a cop! Daron manages to get her released from police custody, but his troubles aren’t over yet: Nadia begs him to help Yahya. The young man is suspected of murdering Irina Rudenko, a young refugee woman who lived in the same shelter as him and with whom he was close... Meanwhile, at the office—still cluttered with moving boxes—Pauline is looking for a file. She eventually stumbles upon an old photo of Daron, Coco, and Jean-Michel at law school... Stunned, Pauline demands an explanation from her mother, but Coco dodges the question, unable to admit to her daughter that Daron is her real father.

Appearances

It's all hands on deck at the firm: Greg is accused of being an accomplice to his new girlfriend, who is suspected of murdering her husband! Everyone at the Daron firm joins forces to clear their names...

A 5-Star Wedding

Daron brilliantly secures an acquittal for the son of a longtime friend, but Pauline uncovers evidence that could cast doubt on his innocence. Absorbed by Esther’s tumultuous wedding, Daron tries in vain to get her to let it go, but Pauline is determined to uncover the truth…
