Episode 1

Lígia is thrown out of the house. José Morocco is sent to Juazeiro. José Morocco, Maria de Araújo, Vital de Araújo and Simas continue their journey to meet Father Cícero.

Episode 3

A death shakes Father Cícero. Lígia's birth does not go as expected. José Morocco starts teaching. Padre Cícero's mass is the scene of an extraordinary event.

Episode 4

What happened to Maria de Araújo is seen as a miracle. José Morocco decides to make the fact known. Father Cícero asks God for a sign. Lígia takes her son alive.

Episode 5

José Morocco sends a report of the miracle to the newspaper. Father Cícero baptizes Lígia's son. Maria de Araújo stars in another intriguing moment. Something unexpected happens in the backlands.

Episode 6

Don Joaquim is angry with the events that happened in Juazeiro. Bugre leaves Lígia. Father Cícero claims that what happened to Maria de Araújo is a miracle. Lígia looks for her father.

Episode 7

Father Cícero reaffirms the miracles of Maria de Araújo. A massacre occurs on the Bezerril farm. Bugre commits murder. Monsignor Alexandrino gives a suggestion to Don Joaquim.

Episode 8

Father Cícero prays for the dead on the Bezerril farm and is welcomed with a celebration in Juazeiro. Lígia is informed about the massacre. Monsignor Alexandrino puts Maria de Araújo to the test.

Episode 9

Monsignor Alexandrino plans to investigate the miracles of Juazeiro. Maria de Araújo is troubled. Dom Joaquim takes action against Father Cícero. Seamus admits his love for Lígia.

Episode 10

Padre Cícero's mobilization power is worrying. The Court of the Holy Office is severe with Father Cícero. José Morocco leads revolt. Father Cícero accepts decisions.

Episode 11

Bugre, Adolfo and Floro Bartholomeu became partners. José Morocco wants to mobilize the blessed. Don Joaquim appoints parish priest for Juazeiro. Father Cícero and Maria de Araújo return to Juazeiro.

Episode 12

An attack on Padre Cícero moves Juazeiro. Father Cícero discovers the new church and meets an old companion. Bugre meets Lígia. Fanaticism in Juazeiro is worrying.

Episode 13

Maria de Araújo and the faithful pray for Brother Bernardo to resurrect. Floro Bartholomeu faces Maria de Araújo. Father Cícero says he is betrayed by José Morocco and makes an important decision.

Episode 14

Father Cícero suffers another attack. Maria de Araújo speaks to Father Cícero. Adélia runs her husband's business. Gildo preaches against progress. The local newspaper has a new editor.

Juazeiro's emancipation movement gains strength. The new parish priest allies himself with José Morocco. Floro Bartholomeu is called by Governor Accioly. Gildo has memorable encounters.

Seamus takes care of Lígia. Father Cícero makes a decision about Juazeiro. A death shakes Juazeiro. Floro Bartholomeu negotiates the autonomy of Juazeiro. Seamus is surprised during the ritual.

Episode 17

Governor Accioly and Dom Joaquim fight over the relics. Father Cícero is accused of omission for the situation in Juazeiro. An agreement is made between the government and Padre Cícero.

Episode 18

Father Cícero tries to get his vows back. Juazeiro becomes autonomous from Crato. Gildo bothers the powerful. Power changes hands in Ceará, after a coup. Maria de Araújo passes away.

Episode 19

Monsignor Alexandrino fears fanaticism in Juazeiro. Don Joaquim keeps a secret from Father Cícero. Floro Bartholomeu blackmails Simas. Bugre has a surprise at the Bezerril farm.

Episode 20

Lígia discovers her son's whereabouts and takes an extreme decision. Adélia has a clash with Bugre. Simas leaves Juazeiro. Floro Bartholomeu suffers a heart attack. Father Cícero dies at the age of 90.
