Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is to feminists and gay people what Rick & Morty is to men....and everyone else that is normal who loves comedy & action. The show is basically some lesbian's fanfiction who has taken their relationship as trauma-bond friends from the Gotham Looney Bin -- not as hard a leap for Quinn as she went from being a doctor to being an inmate at said asylum -- and turning it into some pervy girl-on-girl buddy comedy. The show is painfully predictable, which after viewing the supposed men of Gotham bumbling about and making equally asinine decisions and actions, was not at all unexpected. Of course, fed up with the way they are being disregarded -- and rightfully so (as quoted by the Zegler!) -- by the men of the crime, Harley and Pamela Ivy, aka Poison Ivy, decide its time for them to make their mark in the underworld. Together with two metrosexuals and a telepathic dwarf they make a team to create mischief and chaos to put themselves on the map.

The show is funny in places but mostly it gets on your nerves with all the female focused femi-nazi quips -- there are some doozies -- and mental man-bashing. It is all a color-haired, overweight, tattooed-up, nose-ring wearing woman could ask for. For the most part if you want something playing in the background while you take care of chores, it fits that niche nicely. But if your tolerance is low for self-grandulzing, over-indulgent, over-amped SJW slop, then you might want to "keep it pushing." This show is not people who are fans of logic or good entertainment. I will safely say this, it's a Try-Hard for adult animation edginess, and finally seemed to get it right around the fourth season. Jeez, like any roach the series was persistant in wanting to stick around; even if it kept the same skin-crawling feminist vibe.

You'll eventually get a chuckle of two at something said or done but they will be few, and far & in between. I'll pray for your sanity and let you be the judge.
