Beast
Beast is a BBC One sitcom based in a veterinary surgery. Two series of six episodes each were made, with the first broadcast in early 2000 and the second in early 2001. The main premise of the show is that the main character and practice owner doesn't like being a vet and has a strong dislike of animals.

Disillusioned with life as a vet, Nick makes an appointment with a careers consultant.
Nick wants to appear chivalrous when his next-door neighbour Mary, whom he fancies, pops round. Kirsten's powers of diplomacy are stretched.
Nick feels forced to replace Briony after she insults him. John seems the perfect candidate and Kirsten is delighted, but Nick has other ideas.
Kirsten gets into a panic about having no real friends and asks Briony to go out for the evening. Nick spies a way to earn money from gullible pet own...
Kirsten's attempts to liven up the surgery by playing music from the eighties proves unpopular.
Nick finally scores with Judy. But how good is he at animal impressions?
