Time Squad
Time Squad is an American animated television series created by Dave Wasson, following the adventures of a trio of hapless "time cops", who travel back in time attempting to correct the course of history. The series ran on Cartoon Network from June 8, 2001, to November 26, 2003, airing 26 episodes in total. Wasson described the series as "a C-average student's approach to history."

Fairly historically accurate jokes, but you need to be familiar with history for most of it to make sense. The joke is always that history is going wrong, but they barely mention the correct path as they ignore things going off the rails and focus on just one historical figure... seems geared towards adults oddly enough. As far as teaching kids history or even having age appropriate humor, "Oh brother, this show stinks!".
