As the group heads out on the road to Hamamatsu, Matsumi suddenly gets a distressing call from his mother.
The three meet a young girl, Megumi Kagami, when they stay at a hotel for the night, and Megumi joins them.
In the face of Megumi's questioning, Ritsu is finally willing to tell what happened between him and her sister, Madoka.
Ruminating on his familial past and his old relationship with Masumi, Ritsu makes a surprising decision.

This is the story about a former couple who had a bad break up, but run into each other ten years later. At this time there is a meteor headed towards Earth and they have ten days before all life is wiped out. They decide to use this time to get a stranded teenager home so he can be with his family. While the story is well told and acted, it's a bit of a darker, gloomier story and almost all of the characters have serious mental health issues that need to be addressed. I won't give away any spoilers, but it has basically a non-ending, you don't really learn what happens.
