Kalel, 15

This movie is black-and-white, it's sad, it's brutal sometimes, and yet it's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever watched. Elijah Canlas rightly earned international recognition and best-actor awards for his outstanding portrayal of an HIV-infected boy, the movie itself gained prizes for the unvarnished description of the social reality in the Philippines.

This is the story of a teenager who, while leading a totally straight life to all who know him, is secretly hooking up with guys he meets online. When he gets HIV at 15 he is forced to fend for himself as his already dysfunctional family is of no help and his friends soon turn against him.
