Carta a uma Jovem Escritora is a documentary that seeks to rescue from oblivion five Portuguese-language women writers who have not yet found their rightful place in our literary landscape. Each chapter tells a life story and reveals the importance of a body of work that remains, for the most part, unknown. Carta a uma Jovem Escritora, by Marta Pessoa, brings to light five Portuguese women writers who have been unjustly forgotten: Olga Gonçalves, Graça Pina de Morais, Maria Cecília Correia, Alice Sampaio, and Maria Amélia Neto.
